Juno Baby Review and Giveaway

Juno Baby is a new company founded by a mom, PhD. and Emmy Award winning composer. My children recently received one of a currently expanding line of DVD's from the Juno Company. The Day the Music Stopped is geared toward pre-school children. This particular title teaches rhythm, melody and harmony. The pre-school line focuses on music appreciation and education with original orchestral music and engaging, interactive stories.

I wasn't sure about this before we watched it. I really wasn't sure my kids would watch it. I was SO wrong. They were both glued to the TV the entire show. They were singing along and talking to the characters. We all loved the bright colors and cute characters. They had no idea they were watching a music lesson.

In The Day the Music Stopped, Bunny presses the big red button on the Shush Machine and accidentally silences the town of Harmonia Springs. Juno and her friends have to create their own music to bring the music back. This is where they learn the lessons about rhythm, harmony and melody. Once they have those pieces, they have music.

Free Disney on Ice Tickets at 6am Today (UT)

The public is invited to come to the EnergySolutions Arena Plaza Door Six Monday, January 24th. Starting at 6:00 a.m. the FIRST 600 people to come to front doors at the arena on the Plaza and donate 10 cans of food will receive a free pass to the opening night performance of Disney On Ice presents Let's Celebrate on Wednesday, March 9th at the EnergySolutions Arena. I'm Back. Woohoo!

The computer is up and running. I am so excited. My husband finished a basement room into an office for me so that it would be easier for me to blog. I love it. I spent tonight cleaning out 600 email messages that piled up while I was disconnected. Tomorrow, I will start posting some of the giveaways I have lined up, including CSN! Being unplugged for a little while was nice in many ways, but I am looking forward to being able to post again.

I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I believe I should be reconnected to the online world again within a couple of days. My new office is almost complete. We hope it will have cable running to it tomorrow night. Yay! A month after the damage to my laptop, it is still not fixed, but my desktop should be running and in a new home tomorrow. I can't wait to be back. I even have a couple of giveaways lined up!

Oh, How I Love Target Clearance Time!

I went to Target tonight to pick up a few last minute Christmas items and couldn't help but notice that much of the store was rearranged for their clearance sale. There were already at least 4 aisles of toys ready to be marked down. Some were already tagged at 30% and even 50% off. You could tell exactly which items were going to be marked down.

Linens also had many things that were already tagged at 30% off. I walked past those on my way to check out Christmas. The trees were mostly gone already. The rest of the Christmas items were grouped into what, for me, is the day after Christmas sale arrangement.

I seem to give a lot of money to Target in January. This year, I have my Target check card, so I'll save a little more! If you shop there a lot, I reccommend it. It is a card that is attached to your checking account. It is not a credit card. Every time you use it, you earn 5% cash back. It works just like your debit card. I love Target!

Just In Case...Best Friends Animal Society Has A Donor Matching Holiday Donations

I thought I would post this just in case there are others of you that give a little help to animals in need at Christmas time. I received an email saying that a donor had offered to match the donations Best Friends receives at Christmas. If you usually donate anyway, this would be a good time to do it. You can donate online or just text MATCH to 90999 and they will add a $10 donation to your next phone bill (matched to $20). You can go to the Best Friends website for more information on all of the great rescue work they do.
