Juno Baby is a new company founded by a mom, PhD. and Emmy Award winning composer. My children recently received one of a currently expanding line of DVD's from the Juno Company. The Day the Music Stopped is geared toward pre-school children. This particular title teaches rhythm, melody and harmony. The pre-school line focuses on music appreciation and education with original orchestral music and engaging, interactive stories.
I wasn't sure about this before we watched it. I really wasn't sure my kids would watch it. I was SO wrong. They were both glued to the TV the entire show. They were singing along and talking to the characters. We all loved the bright colors and cute characters. They had no idea they were watching a music lesson.
In The Day the Music Stopped, Bunny presses the big red button on the Shush Machine and accidentally silences the town of Harmonia Springs. Juno and her friends have to create their own music to bring the music back. This is where they learn the lessons about rhythm, harmony and melody. Once they have those pieces, they have music.
The Juno Company offers products from both the Juno Baby and Juno Jr lines. You can check out The Day the Music Stopped and the other products
here. Also, through 1/27, you can find their products for up to 60% off on
Zulily.
You can feel good about a purchase from the Juno Company. Your child will be learning from what they are watching and you are helping others learn to. Through their One For All program, every time a Juno Baby product is sold; one is donated to a child in need.
