Have you tried Gilt yet? Right now they have an event going on called Stroll in Style. If you are in need of a stroller, they are featuring Maclaren and Phil & Ted's with huge discounts. This Phil & Ted's Twin is only $375 (usually $600). There are cute Maclaren doll sets and nice liners. They also have the never on sale Skip Hop diaper bags for 50% off. I noticed kid's Seven for All Mankind jeans are coming up soon.
Gilt also recently partnered with Care.com. "Care.com's main initiative as a company is to carefully review all sorts of family assistance professionals, from babysitters and nannies to pet sitters and dog walkers, so that families can hire the best caregivers out there. They focus on safety, experience, and quality, ensuring that only the most qualified individuals are watching over what's most important to you: your home and family."
My toddler is at an age where she should have an interest in potty training. Unfortunately, she does not and it's not because we haven't tried. First, we tried an Elmo potty seat. At first, she was excited. However, when she sat on it, it slid. She never sat on it again. Next, we bought a frog potty. She was intrigued, but she never really saw it as a potty so she wouldn't use it for that purpose. We tried stickers and rewards to try and get her to use it, but to no avail. Next, we tried a nice, sturdy step stool to help her get on the big potty. That didn't work at all. We took her to pick out pull ups. She chose Dora and was very excited about them until it was time to put them on. Then, not so much. I gave up and hoped she'd show some interest soon.
After the clothed attempt, I figured I'd still need to find a potty seat that would fit securely. I ordered one and waited for it to arrive. To my surprise, we didn't need it. Yesterday, she hopped right up with the help of the Little Looster and had her first success with the big potty. As with all things, she just decided to do it. She did it again today. Although, I can't yet claim she is potty trained. I can say she is on her way! I am a skeptic no more and can honestly claim that the Little Looster is worth every penny. It is truly the only device that worked for us and it will be gracing our bathroom for a few years until both kids are big enough to reach the floor.
Fall is definitely upon us. The cool night air has arrived and jackets are in order. For me this brings to mind one thing, Halloween! I started seeing the costumes in the stores and knew that it was time to get busy picking ours out.
I wish we had a Halloween party to go to this year because I would love to get my husband this Dog the Bounty Hunter costume. Who wouldn't get a good laugh out of that.
For me, I think I may order either a Southern Belle or a Rydell High cheerleader costume.
Normally, I would be really hesitant about ordering a costume online. Costume Discounters takes all the worry away by offering free size exchanges and costume exchanges. They even send a prepaid UPS return label with your purchase. Costume Discounters also offers a lowest price guarantee. If you find your costume on the internet for less they will match the lower price and give you an extra 20% off. With a policy like that, you know you aren't going to pay too much.
