Many of you have asked about my favorite local places to score a deal. I have a few, but one of my favorites is
DownEast Home. DownEast Home stores sell items from my favorite name brand retailers at very discounted prices. They can't disclose their brands, but if you know me well, you can probably guess.
As I was walking around my house the other day, following my last visit to DownEast, it occurred to me just how many of the items in my home had been purchased there. I could go on and on, but we'll just say it is a lot! I purchased a few large, furniture items there: our buffet, armoire, crib, the playroom and my daughter's bedroom storage system and our mattresses. On my last trip there I purchased a $700 mattress for my daughter's new twin bed for only $169.
Almost all of the linens in our home were purchased there. That includes sheets, duvets, quilts, throws, bath towels, kitchen towels, napkins and rugs. Although not linen, I even found more bowls to add to the kitchen set that I received at our wedding.
I love all of the beautiful picture frames I have been able to find there. They are all styles and colors and in all the rooms in our home. This one is my favorite.

I also bought my daughter's chandelier, a doll, tea set, baby carrier, diaper bag (for her and her doll), back packs, sleeping bags, chairs, beanbags and a doll cradle. Keep in mind, this is all still from that famous name brand I love.
I was able to find almost everything for our recent bathroom remodel there. For me, it was pretty much one stop shopping. I picked up a matching sconce, towel bars and tissue paper holder. Plus, this adorable shower curtain, matching towel sets and rug for the kids. The retail price on the linens would have been $130, but I only paid $55! Can you see why I love this store?
As if all this weren't enough, DownEast Home carries a large selection of DownEast branded furniture. They had leather seating in all price ranges and colors. The high end leather sofa with chaise (top) would retail elsewhere for $3500, but is only $1399 at DownEast. The second style leather sofa is only $600 (loveseat pictured).

I also love this Roanoke table and chairs set. You may find one that looks just like it sitting in my kitchen.

If you are looking for a little something new to decorate your home, you should definitely check out DownEast Home. I bet you'll find it. I know I never leave empty handed.
DownEast Home stores are located in Utah and Idaho. Use the list of stores to find one near you. They also carry very cute clothing both name brand and DownEast Basics brand, at their DownEast clothing stores. However, that is for another post!
Oh, and don't forget to leave a comment on the new DownEast blog by Sept. 6th, to be entered to win a $1000 shopping spree. Utah and Idaho locals only.
Disclosure: DownEast provided me with a gift card to their store to facilitate in writing this post.
