I'm having a little trouble with baby gates right now. This little one is quite the crawler. I've been using the same gates I used with my daughter but they are driving me crazy. The problem is that the toddler needs to be able to get up and down the stairs and I need to keep the baby off of them. My daughter can't figure out how to open any of the ones we have so she is trapped when the gates are up. Therefore, she pulls on them until they come down and destroys my walls in the process.
I know I can't be the only one who has had this problem. I'd love to hear your solutions. Is there a gate that is easy enough for my two year old to open? What did you do? Help!

ReplyDeleteWe had a baby gate that a two year old could open. I wish I could remember what brand. It had a lever that you lift up at the top. We could leave it "unlocked," so Abby Jane could open it, but the baby could not because he was not tall enough. Or we could lock it and neither one could open it.
