Oh, How I Love Target Clearance Time!

I went to Target tonight to pick up a few last minute Christmas items and couldn't help but notice that much of the store was rearranged for their clearance sale. There were already at least 4 aisles of toys ready to be marked down. Some were already tagged at 30% and even 50% off. You could tell exactly which items were going to be marked down.

Linens also had many things that were already tagged at 30% off. I walked past those on my way to check out Christmas. The trees were mostly gone already. The rest of the Christmas items were grouped into what, for me, is the day after Christmas sale arrangement.

I seem to give a lot of money to Target in January. This year, I have my Target check card, so I'll save a little more! If you shop there a lot, I reccommend it. It is a card that is attached to your checking account. It is not a credit card. Every time you use it, you earn 5% cash back. It works just like your debit card. I love Target!

Just In Case...Best Friends Animal Society Has A Donor Matching Holiday Donations

I thought I would post this just in case there are others of you that give a little help to animals in need at Christmas time. I received an email saying that a donor had offered to match the donations Best Friends receives at Christmas. If you usually donate anyway, this would be a good time to do it. You can donate online or just text MATCH to 90999 and they will add a $10 donation to your next phone bill (matched to $20). EZ Sox Review and Giveaway: You and your kids will love these!

I was so excited to review these training socks. Sissy is great at putting her shoes on, although they may not be on the right feet, but she can't do socks. I was hopeful that EZ Sox, with their pull-up loops, would make it easier for her to do.
As soon as they came, I gave them to her to try. She refused to use them. She told me I bought her boy socks (they were tan). I was so disappointed that she wouldn't try them. Over the next couple of weeks I would break them out with no luck. I was just about to give up and order them in pink, when my husband decided to try. Wouldn't you know it, daddy's girl immediately put them on, with no help at all. She just grabbed the loops and pulled them right on. She loved them. For 3 days straight, she wore her "bear socks", putting them on by herself each time. (She would still be wearing them if I hadn't hidden them in the hamper.) She does still struggle a little with getting them facing the right direction, but the animal faces on the socks help with that. We just told her that the bear's face needs to be on top.
I really think that after she uses these a few more times, she will be able to figure out her regular socks. However, I know she'll still struggle with regular socks compared to these. They really are EZ!

Have you checked out nobetterdeal.com yet? I have been loving this website. They sell new, refurb and open box items. I haven't heard any complaints yet and everyone reports their open box items to be new. Many of the prices are 50% off and shipping is usually about $3. Right now they have a Leapster Explorer for $35. I also found the Cuisinart Panini Press that I paid $50 for refurbished somewhere else, for only $36 (open box). The only problem is that everything sells out fast. There were a few items I decided to think about. They were gone when I went back! New items seem to be added every day.
