CoverGirl NatureLuxe Foundation and Gloss Balm Review

I am sure you have seen the new Covergirl commercials featuring Taylor Swift. They have been all over the TV lately. The product she is advertising is their new NatureLuxe line. NatureLuxe is a more natural line made with cucumber water, jojoba and rose hip extracts. They also opted to use bioresin (a renewable, sustainable, sugarcane-derived plastic) for a natural packaging, which I totally support.
I signed up to be a BzzAgent for NatureLuxe line from Covergirl so I could try it out and share what I thought. I received the NatureLuxe silk foundation as well as the NatureLuxe gloss balm.
I like the feel of the foundation a lot. I chose the color flax. It was a pretty close match for me, fairly light but it didn't make me look too pale. It wasn't heavy or greasy feeling. It gave more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, but less than the foundations I usually use. It is a light to medium coverage that felt nice on my skin. I have used it daily for two weeks now and have been quite happy with it. I haven't had any problems develop on my skin.
The one thing I didn't care for about the foundation was the smell. It has a really strong smell that took me a while to get used to. It isn't a bad smell necessarily, but strong. The good thing is that it does fade over time (or maybe you just get used to it), but after the first 30 minutes or so I don't notice it any longer.
I tried the thistle colored gloss balm. I may have chosen a color that was a little pinker than I usually wear, however, I was pleased with it. Keep in mind, however, that I generally wear tinted lip balm so this gloss balm is right up my alley. The thing I really like about the NatureLuxe gloss balm is that is has shine. It is a tinted lip balm and lip gloss in one. I plan to try it in a different shade and I think I will like it even more!
Covergirl NatureLuxe foundation is available in 14 different shades and the gloss is available in 16, so you are sure to find a color you like. The products are available at most drugstores. I have 4 $2.00 off foundation coupons I can mail out if anyone is interested in giving the product a try. Send me an email with your mailing address if you are interested.

Baby Jogger City Micro Single Around $80 in the Morning

Dealomite marks items down an additional percentage each day for 6 days or until they sell out. The Baby Jogger City Micro Single is on Day 2 today for $105. Tomorrow (whenever their website switches to Sunday) it will go down another 20%. That will make it around $80. I imagine it will sell out at this price.

Baby Jogger City Mini and a Serena and Lily Code That Will Get You Cheap Aden + Anais Swaddle Deals

There are two really great deals that have been going on for a couple of days now. They are specific products, but if you have been looking at either you'll know that the price is definitely right.

The first deal is the Baby Jogger 2011 City Mini Double at Amazon for $299 shipped. Apparently, you can also add it to your registry and get an additional 10% off (making it $270). This price is a steal. They are usually over $400.

The second is a deal I ordered myself. I love the Aden + Anais muslin swaddles. Sadly, I discovered them too late to use as swaddles, but I have found many other uses! They are large swaddling blankets (47" sq.) and soft, breathable muslin. A 4 pack generally runs about $50. Serena and Lily has a code for $25 off $25 right now and the turquoise swaddles are in the sale section for only $31.50 (other colors in the regular price area). Shipping was a lot at $10.00, but my total price for a 4 pack of swaddles was only $16.50! The code is SNEAKPEEK. It can be used on anything, not just swaddles. They have beautiful things.

Great Fisher Price and V-Tech Deals at TRU This Week

There are a few great sales at Toys R Us this week. Both Fisher Price ($25 or more) and V-Tech toys are Buy 1 Get 1 free. Even better, both Fisher Price and V-Tech have coupons out that you can combine on the deal. Some stores are allowing coupons on both the paid item and the free item. You can find the V-Tech coupon here and the Fisher Price coupons here.

This sale doesn't happen often. I believe the Fisher Price deal is only once a year (maybe twice). I use it to purchase new pieces for our Geo Trax set. It is also a good time to get Little People sets.

Kidtoons Strawberry Shortcake Prize Pack Giveaway

"When a heavy storm plunks an even heavier boulder into a nearby stream, it stops the flow of water into Berry Bitty City! So, with help from long-winded Mr. Longface, the girls set out to find the legendary "geyser rock," which creates water from the ground! Their journey is rocky, and the story about the rock may not be very solid. But with teamwork, a careful plan and lots of girl power, the friends just might get their creativity - and water - flowing again!"

Tomica Hyper City Mega Station Train Set $50

1saleaday.com has the Tomica Hyper City Mega Station train set for $50. They have is listed as originally $200. It seems that the same set is $95 on Amazon, but I may be missing something. Either way, it is at least close to 50% off, maybe more. It looks fun. If we didn't already have more GeoTrax than I know what to do with, we may have had to check this one out.

Kmart has clearance toys on sale for an additional 50% off this week

If you are looking to stock up on birthday gifts or even get a head start on Christmas, check out your local Kmart. It seems that Kmart stores nationwide are having a 50% off the clearance price sale on their toys this week. After hearing about it, I went to check it out. There was a full aisle of toys on clearance and there were some good ones. I found Lego, Trio blocks, Lincoln Logs, Barbies, lots of Dora and Handy Manny. I noticed a Laugh and Learn Farm down to $37 and the 2010 Holiday Barbie that was $45, down to $11. I believe this ends on Saturday.

Etsy Store 1 Day Sale 40% Off! Crochet Beanies, Scarves, Headwraps and More.

Remember this adorable headwrap? Last Labor Day I hosted a giveaway for the Etsy shop lemondrop1222. I know many of you browsed the cute crocheted items available or completed orders through the store. If there were things you were interested in, that you haven't purchased yet, now is a great time. Lemondrop1222 is celebrating their 1 year anniversary today, April 11th. To celebrate, everything in the store is 40% off TODAY ONLY! You will need to enter the coupon code ONEYEARSALE at checkout and 40% will be deducted from your total order.

This beanie with your choice of interchangeable flowers was really popular. There are a few new items, like these smaller headbands and scarves. She is also working on a new pattern for baby booties, that should be up soon.

The very best thing about ordering from lemondrop1222 is that she will make anything custom (within reason, of course). She will change the colors, size or style of any item. When I last ordered from her, I needed crochet flowers to match an outfit for my daughter. She went out and found the yarn to match. I also ordered a hat for my son. I wanted stripes in certain colors. She was happy to accommodate all of my requests and I was very pleased with my order.

40% off is a great sale. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones experiencing spring or summer (we are still getting snowed on regularly), you can always stock up for fall. Take a look around the shop and ask any questions you have. You will find that she is very accommodating. Remember, use the code ONEYEARSALE at checkout.

Super Why: Humpy Dumpty and Dinosaur Train: Pteranodon Family World Tour Adventure - New on DVD

Super Why: Humpty Dumpty has to be my daughter's new favorite DVD. We received this DVD for review and we have watched it so many times that I finally had to charge up the portable DVD player so that she can watch it by herself. It is really cute, but I can only watch the same DVD so many times in one day! My daughter loves Super Why and she loves fairy tales, so this DVD is a perfect fit for us. Super Why: Humpty Dumpty & Other Fairytale Adventures features four episodes: Humpty Dumpty, Cinderella, Pinocchio, and Rumpelstiltskin. In Humpty Dumpty, Pig has climbed to the top of a slide but is scared to slide down. The Super Readers get into the Humpty Dumpty Book to see how Humpty Dumpty safely gets down from the wall. Then they return to pig, and use what they learned in the story, to get him down the slide. If you aren't familiar with Super Why, it is a great series for preschoolers and beginning readers. The characters always jump into a book to figure out how to solve a problem. They also include letters and letter sounds in the episodes. It is a cute series. We also received a copy of the new Dinosaur Train DVD, Dinosaur Train: Pteranodon Family World Tour Adventure. I think this is an adorable series. It is from the Jim Henson Company, so you know it is going to be a quality series. I knew that we would all enjoy this DVD. My little guy is just getting into dinosaurs and trains are his first love, so this didn't disappoint. There are actually 8 episodes on this DVD and it is over and hour and a half long. We watched a couple of episodes each day and it was perfect. The Pteranadon family sets off on a world tour on which they meet many of the different species of dinosaurs. They travel through a time tunnel and are able to meet dinosaurs from different time periods. My little guy liked the episode in which the Pteranodon family meets Chung, a Confuciousaurus. They laughed and laughed that the birds name was Chung and loved how colorful he was. My daughter had a special interest in an episode in which Tiny Pteranodon loses her Tiny Doll that she has slept with every night since she was a baby. Tiny is afraid she won't be able to sleep without her doll. Luckily, Valerie Velociraptor finds it and returns it to Tiny because she knows how important it is to her. My little girl has a piggy that has never left her side and I watched her honest concern for Tiny and her doll. It was very cute. Both of these DVD's are from PBS Kids and were just released online and in stores, at very reasonable prices. I found them under $9 at both Amazon and Walmart. I think that is quite reasonable for a new release. My kids have had the DVD's for a few weeks now, and are still watching them. Super Why is still in very heavy rotation!
